According to the latest news from foreign media, the first iOS 14 developer beta provides developers with a "limit frame rate" option, which allows the application to set the maximum frame rate of the screen to 60 frames per second, but the existing iPhone 11 is equipped with a 60Hz screen, so there is no point in providing this option unless Apple intends to increase the refresh rate.
Now a Twitter user has seen the option to limit the frame rate to 60Hz after upgrading the iPhone 11 Pro to iOS 14 beta 5. If Apple has not canceled this option, it naturally brings about the possibility of a 120Hz screen.
Display industry analyst Ross Young believes that 120Hz displays are indeed likely to appear in the iPhone, but he reiterated that the new iPhones may not be equipped with LTPO backplane technology, nor will they have adaptive refresh rates like the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
According to previous reports, the 120Hz screen of the iPhone 12 Pro Max can work normally, the question is whether it will appear on the iPhone 12 Pro.
