While the model of this smartphone has not been finalized, it seems that the most likely candidate for the launch is the Google Pixel 4, which is said to be an entry-level smartphone. In terms of its competitors from Apple, its nearest rival is likely to be the second-generation iPhone SE.
Leak master Ishan Agarwal posted a list of specifications on Twitter, including a model expected to cost $349 and support 4G LTE networks. In the same tweet, a second model "Pixel 4a 5G" was also mentioned, which will be launched in the fall along with the "Pixel 5" and will cost $499.
In terms of specifications, the Pixel 4a is believed to feature a 5.81-inch OLED display with a punch-hole camera, and earlier rumors have said its resolution is 2340 × 1080. It is powered by the Snapdragon 730G system-level chip, and is also believed to have 6GB of memory, 128GB of storage, and a 3140mAh battery.
In terms of camera, the back is equipped with a 12-megapixel sensor, dual-pixel phase detection, 77-degree field of view, optical image stabilization, and can shoot 4K video at 30fps and 1080p at 120fps. On the front will be an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an 84-degree field of view.
It is said that Google will prepare to launch Pixel 4a in six countries including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia and Japan, and the shipping date is currently unknown.
