Foreign media broke the news: As an affordable mid-range new phone, the recently released OnePlus Nord will provide three appearance options. In addition to the known Gray Onyx and Blue Marble, there seems to be a so-called light gray (Gray Ash) color. It is reported that XDA-Developers went deep into the engineering mode of the pre-installed OxygenOS of the phone and found several lines of strings about the new phone's color in the code.
As shown below, sm7250 is mentioned in the string, which corresponds to Qualcomm Snapdragon 765/765G/768 chipset. In addition, the end of the string mentions three color schemes of the new phone.
Interestingly, well-known whistleblower Evan Blass (@evLeaks) also mentioned this Gray Ash color scheme in a leaked slide he shared.
However, judging from the current situation, foreign media speculate that OnePlus may only provide the Gray Ash version in certain specific markets, or announce new options for the European/Indian markets in the future.
