The latest report from market research firm Strategy Analytics shows that the global smartphone battery market revenue reached US$1.5 billion in the first quarter of 2020, a year-on-year increase of 5%.

From the manufacturer ranking, TDK's ATL (Amperex Technology Ltd.) benefited from providing higher capacity batteries to leading smartphone OEMs and ranked first with a 36% market revenue share, followed by LG Chem and Samsung SDI. It is worth noting that the top three manufacturers in Q1 2020 obtained nearly 82% of the revenue share in the global smartphone battery market.
