On the morning of May 20, the Twitter account L0vetodream released a photo, which was said to be a photo of the motherboard of iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro.
The L-shaped motherboard doesn't offer many new clues, though it's worth noting that it's a more elongated design than the motherboards in the latest flagship iPhones. The fine print suggests that this part was manufactured in week 40 of 2019, which would have been the first week of October.
If you look at the motherboard, it seems that Samsung will still be one of the suppliers of flash storage for the iPhone. Earlier this month, foreign whistleblower Jon Prosser claimed that the storage of the iPhone 12 core will start at 128GB, compared to the current 64GB.
According to previous rumors, the appearance of the iPhone 12 will change from round to square, returning to the right-angle frame similar to the iPhone 4, equipped with a 120Hz dynamic refresh screen, a rear camera with 3x optical zoom, and a laser radar scanner that has been used on the iPad Pro; its bangs will also change, but only slightly smaller than now.
Another obvious change is 5G. The first 5G iPhone will finally arrive this year.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the research and development and production of the iPhone 12 may be affected, so some people think that its release time may also be postponed, but there is no accurate information now.
