App Store sets rules for coronavirus apps: reject all entertainment apps-EEWORLD

IT Home reported on March 15 that according to foreign media reports, Apple's App Store recently introduced a rule for applications involving COVID-19, which clearly stated that it would reject all entertainment or game applications with the theme of COVID-19, and only developers from "recognized entities" can submit relevant applications. These "recognized entities" include government agencies, medical or educational institutions, health-centered non-governmental organizations, and companies with "deep credibility" in health.

　　Apple also encourages developers to mark their COVID-19 related apps as time-sensitive to speed up the review process. And Apple pointed out that if governments, non-profit organizations, and certified schools only intend to release free related apps, they do not need to pay the $99 annual developer fee.

　　Apple is not the only company that regulates related apps. IT Home reported this month that the Google Play Store prohibits the listing of related apps with misleading information.
