In August 2018, Samsung first released and demonstrated the Galaxy Home smart speaker with its own artificial intelligence voice assistant Bixby. In the past year and a half, this smart speaker has been delayed many times and has not been actually launched. The Galaxy Home Mini announced by Samsung this time is the mini version of this speaker.
Galaxy Home Mini is built based on Bixby, an artificial intelligence voice assistant, and can be connected to the Internet of Things through Samsung's SmartThings platform, through which it can control smart devices such as lights and refrigerators in the home. In terms of audio, it is equipped with Samsung's own AKG brand sound technology, which can provide a better sound experience.
Although Samsung has not yet announced the release date of Galaxy Home, with the launch of Galaxy Home Mini, it is believed that Samsung will accelerate its deployment in the smart home field and expand its AIoT field.
