According to Xinhua Daily, the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee decided: Comrade Lan Shaomin will serve as a member, standing member and secretary of the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee, and Comrade Zhou Naixiang will no longer serve as secretary, standing member and member of the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee.
It is worth noting that Lan Shaomin previously served as deputy secretary of the Nanjing Municipal Party Committee and mayor.
According to information, Lan Shaomin was born in January 1964 in Dapu, Guangdong. He studied at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and has been working in Jiangsu since graduation. In 2018, Suzhou ranked first in Jiangsu Province with a total GDP of 1.85 trillion yuan, and ranked first among all prefecture-level cities in the country.
During his tenure as mayor of Nanjing, Lan Shaomin mentioned many times that Nanjing focuses on the development of the integrated circuit industry. Lan Shaomin once required that we should highlight innovation leadership, focus on development priorities, and accelerate the improvement of the overall competitiveness of Nanjing's integrated circuit industry. The whole city should unswervingly promote the creation of integrated circuit industry landmarks and build Nanjing into a world-renowned wafer manufacturing base, a unique RF optoelectronic integrated circuit innovation base, and an important integrated circuit innovation center.
