According to Qualcomm's naming rules, the next-generation flagship platform is expected to be named Snapdragon 865.
On August 6, a mysterious device codenamed "Kona" appeared on the GeekBench benchmark website, with a single-core score of 4160 and a multi-core score of 12946.
Compared with Snapdragon 855 Plus (Black Shark Gaming Phone 2 Pro), the former has significantly improved single-core and multi-core performance. The industry speculates that this may be Qualcomm Snapdragon 865.

Previously, well-known whistleblower Roland Quandt revealed that Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 is divided into two versions, one code-named Kona and the other code-named Huracan. Both support UFS 3.0 flash memory and LPDDR5X memory. The difference is that one of them integrates Qualcomm 5G baseband and the other does not.
It is worth noting that there are reports that Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 will be manufactured by Samsung and use Samsung's 7nm EUV process (Exynos 9825 is the industry's first mobile phone chip using 7nm EUV process).
Finally, the release time. As usual, Qualcomm is expected to unveil the Snapdragon 865 at the end of this year. The question is, who will be the first to release it?
