The official renderings of Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 were leaked online. From the pictures, the appearance of Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 is very similar to the first generation product, but some minor details have been improved.
Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 uses an ultra-thin aluminum alloy frame while maintaining the original round display screen. The dial size is divided into two sizes: 40mm and 44mm. In addition, the new watch adds a small red circle on the power button to distinguish between LTE (supporting cellular networks) and WIFI, which is very similar to Apple Watch.

There is a small hole above the power button of the watch, which is used to place the microphone. In theory, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 can make phone calls. The back button above has been changed from the original round to an oval. The picture shows the black Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2, which is said to be available in two different colors: silver and gold.
In addition to the changes in appearance, Samsung obviously has many upgrade plans for health. Specifically, Samsung will launch an ECG (electrocardiogram) application for the Galaxy Watch Active 2, which allows users to get an electrocardiogram from their watch and can also help users detect their heart rate to see if there is a too fast, too low or irregular heartbeat.
This data can be shared with doctors to get expert advice. Accompanying this feature is atrial fibrillation (AFib) notification. The most common of all heart conditions is an irregular heartbeat, which can lead to a stroke if not treated promptly.
However, like Apple's Apple Watch, Samsung must obtain regulatory approval before implementing the ECG feature. If permission has not yet been granted, Samsung may delay the feature for the time being.
Finally, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 will reportedly also include a Fall Detection feature (a system for detecting if a user has fallen). If the device detects that the user has fallen, this feature will automatically activate, display an alert and notify the user by vibrating. The user can choose to dismiss the notification or contact emergency services by clicking on it, depending on their situation. If the user does not respond to the Galaxy Watch Active 2 within a predetermined time, the watch will determine that the user has fallen and send a message to the emergency contact, calling the emergency services.
