As WWDC 2019 approaches, the latest news we hear is not about what Apple will release, but rumors that iTunes, which has been in service for nearly 20 years, is very likely to be abandoned by Apple.
Recently, foreign media reported that since last week, Apple has gradually migrated these links from itunes.Apple.com to music.apple.com, which further confirms that Apple is indeed planning to abandon iTunes.
Foreign media also said on social media that Apple has not yet completely moved its music library to the new domain name, and some music is still hosted on the itunes.apple.com domain name. According to the idea, Apple will extract music and podcasts from iTunes, so iTunes is likely to become a simple device management software.
It is not clear whether Apple plans to completely abandon iTunes or keep its basic management functions. After all, iTunes has accompanied Apple fans for the past 20 years. Listening to music, movies, TV and podcasts reflects that iTunes is indeed a comprehensive one, and it can also manage our Apple devices. At present, Apple may feel that iTunes is burdened with heavy responsibilities and cannot provide consumers with a better experience, so it is reported that Apple will soon launch three applications for music, TV and podcasts.
