鸿海董事长郭台铭11日上午出席永龄健康基金会所举办的永龄华人抗癌联合行动週年记者会,郭台铭说,他投入癌症研究领域已将超过10年了,当初他弟弟郭台成过世后,医疗团队也没有解散,持续在进行癌症研究,如今已有很多成果,他要让癌症不再是绝症,希望在10年内让癌症变成一般的慢性病。

This has nothing to do with whether one has money or not. He also said that people should have empathy. We do not have the right to choose whether to be sick or not, but only the right to accompany others. He wants to help all patients and continue to provide cancer relief services.
Terry Gou even stated that no matter what position he holds in the future, he will always be a volunteer for cancer patients' families.
Terry Gou also said that he wanted to build Taiwan into a platform for new drugs. Although most of the semiconductors that can be used in biochemical genes are manufactured in Taiwan, they are useless. Taiwan should make detectors and engage in preventive medicine, which is the so-called "preventive medicine before it occurs". We should keep doctors in Taiwan and build Taiwan into the best base for treatment, inspection, prevention, and protection in the Chinese world.
The Yongling Health Foundation also announced the results of the past year, including clinical trials in eight medical centers, with the participation and assistance of more than 200 medical staff, and implemented in nearly 50 hospitals. Starting in September and October 2018, as of today, 1,200 breast cancer patients have undergone 2,400 genetic tests, 300 blood cancer patients have undergone 500 genetic tests, and a total of 1,500 people have undergone 2,900 genetic tests.
The Yongling Health Foundation also estimates that by August this year, it will be able to complete 8,000 cases and 12,000 genetic tests; genetic testing can help patients receive precise treatment, reduce side effects of treatment, etc., and introduce technologies such as big data and AI through the plan.
