As the number of smart home products increases, people's requirements for cross-platform connectivity are also increasing. Against this backdrop, the Matter protocol emerged and has become a strong support for the development of the smart home industry. The Matter protocol was launched by the CSA Connectivity Standards Alliance to break down the communication barriers between different brands, allowing smart home devices to truly interconnect and interoperate, thereby enhancing the smart home experience. In order to enable developers to more efficiently develop smart home products that support the Matter protocol, WPG World Peace launched the Matter Thread wireless module solution based on the NXP K32W061 wireless microcontroller, which can help smart devices seamlessly integrate into the home ecosystem.

K32W061 is an ultra-low power, high-performance wireless microcontroller from NXP. It is based on the Arm®Cortex®-M4 core and supports ZigBee, Thread (IEEE802.15.4 network protocol), BLE protocol and Matter application development. In addition, the product is compact and has multiple low-power modes. It can provide ultra-low Tx (transmit) and Rx (receive) power consumption, making it very suitable for applications with limited space and power requirements. For example, smart home products such as Smart Energy, Home Automation, Smart Lighting, remote control or wireless sensors.
In addition to the core MCU, the solution is also equipped with Winbond's W25Q80DV Flash product, which can more flexibly meet the design requirements of different applications.

At present, with the help of this solution, the deep integration of bulbs and HomePod Mini has been easily achieved. Users can now easily adjust the brightness, color and color temperature of the bulb through a dedicated smart home APP to create a different atmosphere for your living space. At the same time, by combining the solution with door magnetic products, the open and closed status of the door can be displayed in real time, providing solid protection for users' home safety.
