Wireless alliances to participate in IoT connectivity roundtable discussion at Works With 2021
Leading experts from the Bluetooth technology, connectivity standards, Wi-SUN and Z-Wave alliances gathered to discuss their critical role in developing wireless standards for the evolving IoT space
Beijing, China – August 10, 2021 – Silicon Labs (NASDAQ: SLAB), a global leader dedicated to building a more connected world with secure, intelligent wireless technologies, announced that it will host a roundtable discussion with multiple wireless connectivity alliances at the 2021 Works With Developer Conference, inviting leading alliances such as the Bluetooth SIG, Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), Wi-SUN Alliance and Z-Wave Alliance to share. The roundtable discussion will be moderated by Stuart Sikes, senior vice president and industry analyst at global consumer insight agency Interpret, and will explore the advantages of various wireless connectivity alliances and their key role in driving market technology standards as the entire IoT field accelerates.
Leaders from each alliance will talk about their role in creating standards based on market trends and the important role that developers play in driving industry demand. They will also share their views on the future development of the industry and how to drive innovation.
Roundtable panelists include:
•Ken Kolderup, Chief Marketing Officer, Bluetooth SIG (Bluetooth SIG is a global organization of more than 36,000 companies dedicated to unifying, harmonizing, and driving innovation across a broad range of connected devices)
•Michelle Mindala-Freeman, President of Marketing, Connectivity Standards Alliance (formerly the Zigbee Alliance, which is dedicated to creating, maintaining and delivering open, global IoT standards)
•Phil Beecher, President, Wi-SUN Alliance (Wi-SUN Alliance brings Smart Ubiquitous Networks to service providers by enabling interoperable, multi-service and secure wireless mesh networks)
•Mitchell Klein, Executive Director, Z-Wave Alliance (The Z-Wave Alliance is dedicated to developing and advancing Z-Wave technology, an open, internationally recognized International Telecommunication Union (ITU) standard [G.9959] for smart home and IoT solutions)
•Stuart Sikes, senior vice president of global consumer insight agency Interpret, will serve as moderator
