Alibaba AIoT customized TV project launched? Smart TV may have new gameplay

Influenced by the Internet of Everything, the integration of AI and IoT is becoming more and more common. Mu Yang, general manager of Alibaba's OTT business, posted a photo labeled "AIoT Customized TV Project Launch Meeting" on his WeChat Moments. Is he hinting that Alibaba will make in-depth layout in the AIoT field?

　　Alibaba’s official response to this was: “We don’t make TV, and it’s not convenient to reveal more information now.”

In March 2018, Alibaba announced its full entry into IoT, and AI terminal products represented by Tmall Genie are considered an important part of Alibaba's AIoT strategy. However, it is obvious that AI smart speakers are not the only coupling to the AIoT era. The inherent family attributes and large-screen features of smart TVs provide more possibilities for the implementation of the AIoT strategy.

　　It is reported that Ali and Haier jointly launched the fifth-generation Haier Ali TV product. This TV is based on Ali's artificial intelligence technology. Through voiceprint recognition technology, the TV can recognize the speaker's voice, segment user attributes, and recommend exclusive content, truly realizing thousands of faces for thousands of people. The launch of the "AIoT Customized TV Project" may be another important move by Ali in the AIoT field and OTT market. Smart TVs will be regarded as smart hubs and incorporated into the huge Ali AIoT system, providing industry partners with an open and convenient IoT connection platform.
