After successfully completing its "internship" at the BMW assembly plant, the humanoid Figure 02, hailed as the "strongest on earth", was recently launched, marking its official entry into the broad stage of commercial applications and heralding that in the near future, they will enter ordinary people's homes and perform various daily tasks.

Recently, with the continuous "catalysis" of the industry, the humanoid robot industry is transforming from laboratory ideas to real productivity at an unprecedented speed, showing huge application potential and market prospects. According to industry experts, 2024 is expected to be the first year of mass production of humanoid robots, indicating that this field is about to usher in explosive growth.

As an important force in the development of humanoid robots, China's market size is also eye-catching. According to the report, the scale of China's humanoid robot market is expected to reach 2.76 billion yuan in 2024, and by 2030, this figure is expected to jump to 100 billion yuan, reaching 119.246 billion yuan, indicating the booming development and huge potential of the market.

Relevant persons in charge of UBTECH and other companies said that with the rapid advancement of technology, humanoid robots are gradually getting rid of "science fiction" and becoming indispensable assistants in real life. From basic interaction to complex object recognition, environmental perception and even decision-making execution, the intelligence level of humanoid robots continues to improve, and the application scenarios are becoming increasingly rich and diverse.

At present, many humanoid robot companies in my country have started small-scale production and have been successfully applied to manufacturing, commercial services and other fields. For example, Walker S Lite assists in completing handling tasks in the Zeekr smart factory, demonstrating its efficiency and reliability in actual work scenarios.

When talking about when humanoid robots can really enter ordinary families, Li Junlan, China Research Manager, pointed out that its commercialization process will be a gradual process, starting from the commercial service field and gradually expanding to the mass consumer market. She believes that as the technology continues to mature and the application scenarios expand, humanoid robots will eventually play multiple roles in the home service market, such as companionship, education, and housework, to meet the diverse needs of family life.

In order to promote the rapid development of the humanoid robot industry, the Chinese government has issued a number of policies and measures. Documents such as the "Guiding Opinions on the Innovative Development of Humanoid Robots" not only set clear technological breakthrough goals, but also provide strong guidance for the healthy development of the industry. At the same time, the "Implementation Opinions on Promoting the Innovative Development of Future Industries" regards humanoid robots as an important pillar of future high-end equipment, further stimulating the vitality and innovation of the market.

At the local level, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong and other places have become the gathering places of the humanoid robot industry, where many companies have been deeply engaged in development and continuously achieved technological breakthroughs and innovations. However, experts also warned that despite the bright prospects, the humanoid robot industry still faces many challenges such as yield rate control and post-maintenance.

In order to realize the leap of humanoid robots from "thousands of industries" to "thousands of households", the industry needs to take a two-pronged approach in terms of performance improvement and software system optimization. Zhao Mingguo, director of the Robot Control Laboratory of Tsinghua University, emphasized that only on the basis of hardware and software complementing each other can humanoid robots truly achieve "all-scenario applicability" and bring greater convenience and benefits to all walks of life. Therefore, breaking bottlenecks and stimulating innovation potential will be the key to the future development of the humanoid robot industry.
