With the rapid development of information and technology, service robots have been widely used in all walks of life. Service robots can independently complete various service tasks, such as navigation, handling, cleaning, etc. In order to ensure that service robots can complete tasks accurately and efficiently, it is very important to conduct comprehensive performance testing on them, among which the test of target positioning performance is particularly critical.

In the national standard GB/T38124 "Service Robot Performance Test Method", when defining the positioning and navigation performance items of service robots, it is clearly stated that "the test equipment can be a visual tracking system, laser tracker, etc."

As a representative of large-range (maximum measurement radius 80 meters) and space measurement instruments (15um+6um/m), the performance of the laser tracker fully meets the requirements for test equipment in this test. The laser tracker has a high sampling efficiency (1000 points/second) and can also test multiple test items in the standard, such as "5.1.1 Rated speed", "5.1.4 Maximum speed on slope", and "5.2.2 Navigation capability". It is a very important test equipment in the performance test of service robots.

The specific application process of GTS laser tracker testing the target positioning performance of service robots is as follows:

Set the robot to load the rated load and rated speed, control the robot in a single direction in the test area, start from the starting point A, and run at the set speed and trajectory. When the robot stops and locates at the end point B, a motion test cycle is completed. Use a laser tracker to measure and record the robot's stop position at the end point B, and repeat the measurement of the robot's stop position at the end point B 30 times.

Through the precise measurement of the laser tracker, the performance of robot positioning can be comprehensively evaluated, potential problems can be discovered, and a reliable basis can be provided for performance optimization, ultimately improving the service level of the robot and promoting the healthy development of the service robot industry.

In the field of robot performance testing, Zhongtu Instruments' laser trackers cover medical robots and service robots, providing complete, efficient and accurate testing solutions for the development of the robotics industry and promoting high-quality development of the robotics industry.
