RPLIDAR S3
1. Product appearance: RPLIDAR S3 is small and thin, breaking through the limitation of space and giving more room for imagination in robot development and other applications
2. 40m ranging radius: RPLIDAR S3 adopts Silan’s self-developed SL-DTOF ranging technology, which can achieve 40m stable ranging under the condition of 70% reflectivity.
3. 15m dark object ranging radius: Due to the different reflectivity of various objects to light, the detection of dark objects has always been a difficult problem in the lidar industry. Slamtec has been comprehensively addressing the problem of dark object detection since RPLIDAR A3. After years of accumulation and iteration, S3 has achieved a major upgrade in the detection capability of dark objects. When facing challenging low-reflectivity objects such as dark colors, the ranging performance is also excellent, reaching 15 meters at a reflectivity of 10%.
4. Transparent frosted glass detection capability: Similar to dark objects, since the laser will be transmitted and refracted when hitting the glass, and the laser reflectivity is very low, in many cases, the radar will ignore the fact that there is "glass" in front of it. Thanks to the RPLIDAR series radar's algorithm accumulation for transparent and highly reflective objects, the S3 has no problem with frosted glass and ground glass.
5. Except for dark objects and glass objects, S3 has the same excellent ranging performance at different distances when facing highly reflective objects. S3's ranging performance is stable when facing highly reflective plates at 10m, 20m, and 30m, and the ranging accuracy does not change with the distance.
6. The S3 has a ranging resolution of 10mm, which allows you to see every detail in the environment and provide better "guidance" for robots and other applications.
7. S3's ability to withstand strong indoor light and outdoor sunlight. It has strong working performance under strong outdoor light of 80KLux.
