Xia Yunlong, head of the Intelligent Perception Division of Midea's Home Air Conditioning Division, delivered a speech titled "Exchange on the Application of Smart Home Sensors". Midea's research results show that human perception, environmental perception and device perception are the three major focuses of smart home user needs. He focused on the multi-dimensional perception trend of smart homes, which enables smart home appliances to achieve internal + external, static + dynamic, and single to comprehensive multi-dimensional perception, and improves the accuracy of smart home decision-making. He shared the application case of Midea air conditioners equipped with human perception sensors.

Jiang Zhou, sales director of Horizon Robotics Division, shared the report "Horizon Accelerates the Arrival of the Intelligent Robot Era". He pointed out that the development of smart cars has incubated technology and talents for the robotics industry, and the maturity of chips, sensors, operating systems and supply chains has created a foundation for the development of intelligent robots.

As one of the leading companies in the field of artificial intelligence chips, can Horizon create a paradigm that makes robot development easier and more cost-effective? Horizon has launched three major products: RDK series robot developer kits, robot operating system TogetheROS.Bot 2.0 version and NodeHub, the application center for various robot assembly function packages. Equipping mobile robots with more sensors will have greater development space at home and outdoors. Jiang Zhou revealed that Horizon has cooperated with 50 robot companies, and chips have been shipped in batches on robots such as sweeping robots and lawn mowers at home and abroad, with chip shipments exceeding 4 million pieces.

"Artificial intelligence and robots, as two representative technologies of the fourth revolution, have taken the lead in opening the prelude to the industrial revolution. Sensors are the driving force behind the revolution in robotics technology. Automobiles and smartphones are the key technology drivers of robotic sensors. In the future, the robotics market may jump from a billion US dollars to a hundred billion US dollars or a trillion US dollars. Bosch sensors solve two major problems in the movement of mobile robots: robot positioning and navigation." said Ouyang Shan, senior sales manager of Bosch Sensortec.

Inertial navigation mainly relies on accelerometers and related. The inertial device has a high data output rate, which makes up for the time difference of satellite navigation or SLAM system and can provide continuous online positioning. How does a bipedal robot maintain its own posture? How does a drone flying in the air maintain balance? This requires inertial devices to obtain the posture of the object itself.

In the field of inertial sensors, Bosch ranks first in the world. For robot and drone applications, Bosch has launched the high-performance inertial measurement unit BMI088. This 6-axis sensor product has a low-drift gyroscope and excellent accelerometer performance that has been verified for automotive use. In addition, Bosch also launched a new IMU-BMI323 with integrated functions. This product is an upgraded iteration of the BM160. It is a six-axis accelerometer and gyroscope suitable for motion trigger applications in consumer products.

As the entrance to the Internet of Things, sensors play an important role in stimulating innovation in AIoT applications. Wang Hongyu, President of Bosch Sensortec Asia Pacific, concluded: "There are two major trends in the future development of smart sensors: one is that the degree of integration is increasing; the other is that sensors are becoming more and more intelligent, and sensors are transitioning from traditional data reading to sensors that require intelligence. Smart sensors will not replace sensors, but a fusion of the two to adapt to different application scenarios. Bosch Sensortec empowers the development of the AIoT industry with its leading sensor solutions. Specific application scenarios have different requirements for sensors. We need to work with ecological partners to do customized development to accelerate the implementation of terminal applications."
