Siling Robotics, a leading global unicorn company, announced the completion of its acquisition of Franka Emika, a robot company.
Founded in 2016, Franka Emika is a Munich-based company that focuses on cutting-edge robotics technology research and development. It was one of the 50 innovative projects on the cover of Germany's Time magazine and won the German Future Award and Innovation Award.
Previously, the Munich District Court ordered preliminary bankruptcy management of Franka Emika on August 25, 2023. At present, Siling Robotics' acquisition of Franka Emika has been approved by Franka Emika's creditors committee, and both parties to the transaction have stated that they will keep the specific terms confidential.
After this acquisition, Siling Robotics will provide continuous support for Franka Emika's team of hundreds of people's subsequent business expansion, development and R&D projects.
