Recently, a strategic cooperation signing ceremony between UBTECH Robotics and People's Daily Online was held in Beijing. In the future, the two parties will work together to promote the integrated application of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, 5G, big data, and cloud computing, improve the intelligence and networking level of robots , and promote the intelligent robot industry to move towards the middle and high end.

At present, emerging information technologies represented by artificial intelligence are booming, and applications such as intelligent robots are accelerating their popularization, which is greatly promoting the transformation of professional service fields such as medical care , health, education, finance, security and defense. Technological innovation has become a new driving force for opening up new fields and new tracks for development.

Regarding the cooperation with People's Daily Online, Zhou Jian, Chairman of UBTECH Robotics, said that they will reach an in-depth strategic cooperation with People's Daily Online. By combining the platform advantages of People's Daily Online and UBTECH Robotics' practical capabilities in the intelligent robot industry, they will jointly promote the integrated application of new technologies such as intelligent robots, 5G, and big data, and carry out comprehensive cooperation in multiple fields such as artificial intelligence education, smart health care, and smart party building, using AI to empower intelligent transformation and upgrading.

UBTECH Robotics may be the first stock of adult-shaped robots

According to information, UBTECH Robotics was founded in 2012 and is a leading high-tech innovative company integrating the research and development, manufacturing and sales of artificial intelligence and humanoid robots.

In the 11 years since its establishment, UBTECH Robotics has focused on the application-oriented R&D, forward-looking R&D and commercialization of artificial intelligence and robotics core technologies, and has laid out core technologies including high-performance servo drives, mechanical transmission, motion planning and control, computer vision and perception, intelligent voice interaction, SLAM and navigation, human-computer interaction and hand-eye coordination. On this basis, it has launched a series of products such as commercial service robots and personal/home service robots, and provides multi-industry solutions such as artificial intelligence education, smart logistics, and smart health care.

In 2022, driven by Tesla, humanoid robots are in great demand, and UBTECH's Walker X is currently the only humanoid robot in the world that can be mass-produced and delivered. To date, UBTECH Robotics has conducted business in more than 50 countries around the world, providing a variety of products and solutions to more than 1,000 customers.

Not long ago, UBTECH Robotics submitted an application for its initial overseas public offering to the China Securities Regulatory Commission, and may formally submit a prospectus to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange as early as this month, intending to list on the main board. Once accepted, UBTECH Robotics will become the "first humanoid robot stock."

Tianyancha information shows that UBTECH Robotics has gone through multiple rounds of financing, with investors including well-known institutions such as Tencent, Zhengxuan Investment, Leaguer Capital, and CDH Investments. Currently, some institutions have valued it at as much as US$10 billion.

The next ten years will be the golden period for the development of service robots

Recently, the National Bureau of Statistics released data showing that at the end of 2022, the national population was 1,411.75 million, a decrease of 850,000 from the end of the previous year; the number of births was 9.56 million, and the birth rate was 6.77‰; the number of deaths was 10.41 million, and the death rate was 7.37‰; the natural population growth rate was -0.60‰, officially entering the era of negative population growth.

Under the influence of negative population growth and the intensification of population aging, the turning point of human-machine collaboration is coming. As the working-age labor force continues to decrease, the application of robots will become a rigid demand, and service robots will inevitably become good partners and good helpers of mankind. The next ten years will be the golden development period of service robots, and more and more service robot solutions will be applied in vertical fields.

Moreover, the integration of robots and information technology is becoming increasingly in-depth, which has greatly improved the perception, computing and execution capabilities, making service robots more intelligent, precise and flexible, and better able to meet the performance requirements in application scenarios. Driven by multiple factors, the application value of service robots has gradually become prominent, and the application scenarios have continued to expand.

The "2022 China Robot Industry Development Special Research Report" released by iMedia Consulting shows that the market size of China's robot industry is expected to reach 171.24 billion yuan in 2022, a year-on-year increase of 31.0%.

Among them, the service robot market size is 74.24 billion yuan. The report predicts that with the continuous expansion of service robot application scenarios, its application and investment value will gradually become prominent. In 2023, the Chinese service robot market size is expected to reach 95.92 billion yuan, which will surpass the industrial robot market size.
