, the 2022 Cup National College Student Design Competition Analog Electronic System Design Invitational Competition (hereinafter
referred
to as the "Analog Invitational Competition") came to an end in Hangzhou. This analog invitational competition was hosted by the National College Student Electronic Design Competition Organizing Committee, undertaken by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education and Hangzhou Dianzi University, and co-organized by (TI). It attracted 75 colleges and universities from 20 provinces and cities across the country, 109 participating teams, and a total of more than 300 college students signed up to participate.
Although this year's simulation invitational competition was temporarily postponed due to the challenges of the epidemic, the National College Student Electronic Design Competition Organizing Committee, the Simulation Invitational Competition Grouping Committee and TI University Program Department actively responded with the principle of "students first", quickly coordinated and organized all parties in a short period of time, proposed flexible and innovative competition plans, re-selected and deployed competition venues, organized experts to adjust the questions overnight, and tried their best to meet the students' competition needs in terms of equipment and devices, ultimately ensuring that the simulation invitational competition was held smoothly in compliance with epidemic prevention policies.
After a day and a night of offline closed competition, many excellent works emerged from the participating teams. With the rigorous and professional on-site evaluation of the judging panel and the approval of the competition grouping committee, a total of 9 teams won the first prize in the country, 18 teams won the second prize in the country, and 38 teams won the third prize in the country. The highest honor of this competition, the TI Cup, was won by the team of Song Yucheng, Zhang Boyu, and Luo Junsheng from Southeast University. Their profound understanding of the competition questions and innovative system design left a deep impression on the expert judging panel.
In addition, in addition to the flexible and innovative competition format, this simulation invitation competition also attaches great importance to the combination of theory and practice in the design of propositions. The proposition requires the participating teams to design a Lissajous demonstration device according to the conditions. The device can output the frequency ratio and phase difference of two signals through Lissajous figures, which has a wide range of applications in electronic engineering, radio and other fields. The practical proposition not only examines the students' mastery of theoretical knowledge in an all-round way, but also exercises the students' ability to flexibly apply theory to practice and solve problems in line with needs.
Mr. Jiang Han, Vice President of Texas Instruments and President of China, said: "The successful holding of this simulation invitational competition under challenging circumstances is inseparable from the full support and trust of the National Undergraduate Electronic Design Competition Organizing Committee and the Simulation Invitational Competition Subcommittee in TI. This is also our solemn commitment to help cultivate Chinese electronic engineering talents. This year marks the 26th year of successful cooperation of TI University Program in China. In these 26 years, we have witnessed the rapid development of China's electronic engineering education, and we are fortunate to participate in it and contribute to the cultivation of talents in China's electronic engineering field. I am very happy to see that despite the difficulties faced during the competition, the students still innovated around various propositions and brought their excellent engineering design talents to the fullest. I also welcome students to choose to join TI in the future and work with us to contribute to the development of China's electronic information technology field through innovative technologies and perfect system solutions, so that our lives will become better because of electronic technology."
At present, TI has signed three ten-year plans with the Ministry of Education and established more than 3,000 digital signal processing, analog and microcontroller laboratories in more than 700 universities in China, benefiting more than 300,000 engineering students each year, and has made unremitting efforts to promote education in the field of electronic information technology in Chinese universities. As the only title sponsor and sponsor of the National Undergraduate Electronic Design Competition from 2018 to 2027, TI has been actively involved in the construction of the industry ecosystem and the cultivation of talents in colleges and universities, providing comprehensive and meticulous support for the competition. In the future, TI will continue to help the competition develop towards a higher level and internationalization, and strive to cultivate more professionals who master the world's advanced technologies.
