Also included is the ADI Assure™ trusted edge security architecture, a common security architecture designed to provide more reliable and trusted security capabilities throughout the framework
-
The above solutions are effectively combined to provide a developer-centric experience, accelerate time to market and enhance security and reliability by integrating open source configuration and analysis tools
Beijing, China - October 8, 2024 - Analog Devices, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADI), a leading global semiconductor company, has released a developer-centric suite that integrates hardware, software and services across devices and markets to help customers achieve intelligent edge innovation at a faster pace and with higher security. The core of this release is CodeFusion Studio™, a new all-in-one embedded software development environment based on Microsoft Visual Studio Code, which is ADI's first fully integrated software and security solution suite. CodeFusion Studio™ uses a cutting-edge integrated development environment (IDE) and command line interface to simplify the development of heterogeneous processors and improve efficiency by integrating open source configuration and analysis tools.
CodeFusion Studio™ is now available for download on ADI's new Developer Portal (developer.analog.com). As a comprehensive resource center, the ADI Developer Portal provides extensive documentation, support, partner and technical community engagement programs. CodeFusion Studio™ also supports the ADI Assure™ trusted edge security architecture. As ADI's common hardware and software security foundation, ADI Assure™ enables local security in intelligent edge devices in a simple and flexible way. CodeFusion Studio™, ADI Assure™ and the ADI Developer Portal together provide customers with the tools and resources they need to bring products to market faster with greater security and reliability. By reducing deployment time, customers can quickly unlock the full value of the intelligent edge, making better business decisions, improving user satisfaction, enhancing insights and achieving overall business growth.
“Embedded development at the edge is increasingly complex and requires expertise in hardware, software, and security,” said Gregory Bryant, president of ADI’s global business unit . “We believe ADI is uniquely positioned to provide deep expertise in integration and vertical technologies across different markets, driving faster, easier, and more cost-effective innovation. As a result, we are investing heavily in the development and launch of these solutions and have ongoing plans to help our customers innovate at the intelligent edge with confidence.”
About CodeFusion Studio™: CodeFusion Studio™ is built on open source solutions and supports a variety of hardware, including selected ADI microcontrollers, and more digital solutions will be introduced in subsequent versions of the product. CodeFusion Studio™ includes an IDE, a software development kit (SDK), and various configuration and productivity tools. It is specifically designed for developers to simplify the development of heterogeneous processors and improve efficiency by providing the required abstraction level. In in-depth cooperation with customers, ADI found that nearly half of the product development cycle is spent on preparation for debugging and deployment. ADI expects that the launch of CodeFusion Studio™ will significantly reduce the time required for such tasks, ultimately helping customers speed up product launch and significantly save costs.
About ADI Assure™: The features and capabilities of the intelligent edge continue to evolve, but this also increases cybersecurity risks and spawns new regulatory requirements. The ADI Assure™ brand represents ADI’s commitment to natively integrating security at the intelligent edge. The ADI Assure™ trusted edge security architecture is the first major component of the brand, which includes hardware security features in select ADI hardware products and a software layer with application programming interfaces (APIs) available in Code Fusion Studio™. These security protection APIs, which initially support the MAX32690 microcontroller, will be consistent across the growing ADI processing platform, simplifying software migration while providing flexibility to meet the resource requirements and interoperability needs of applications in a scalable manner.
By simplifying the implementation of typical security use cases and implementing security earlier in the design cycle, the ADI Assure™ trusted edge security architecture can help customers shorten the time it takes to design and bring new products to market and achieve their “secure by design” goals.
About the ADI Developer Portal and Open Source Commitment: The above solutions, combined with the ADI Developer Portal, provide developers with the resources they need, including extensive documentation, support, partner programs and a strong technical community. In addition, ADI has a long history of supporting open source projects and is currently expanding its participation in the open source community to create better and more convenient solutions, achieve easy integration with third-party solutions, and ultimately support existing and potential customers to use their preferred abstraction level and take full advantage of the advanced achievements of the intelligent edge.
