Causes and treatments for stopping rotation

Why does the Panasonic servo motor not rotate? How to deal with it? Panasonic servo motors can control speed and position accuracy very accurately. Convert voltage signals into torque and speed to drive the control object. When using Panasonic servo motors, you may encounter some faults. There may be many reasons why the Panasonic servo motor does not rotate. Next, let's take a look at how to deal with these problems with the staff of Panasonic servo motor manufacturers.

1. Wrong control mode setting: Use the monitoring mode on the front panel to confirm whether the current control mode is wrong? Solution:

1. Reset Pr0.01.

2. When Pr0.01 is 3-5, ensure that the control mode switch of connector X4 is correctly input (C-MODE).

2. Torque limit selection error: As the torque limit, is the external analog input (N-ATL/P-ATL) used? Solution:

1. When using external input, set Pr5.21 to 0, apply -9 [V] to N-ATL, and apply +9 [V] to P-ATL.

2. When using parameter values, set Pr5.21 to 1 and set a large value in Pr0.13.

3. The command pulse frequency division and multiplication setting is wrong. (Position, full closed loop): For the command pulse input, whether the Panasonic servo motor moves according to the predetermined movement amount. Solution:

1. Reconfirm the settings of Pr0.09, Pr0.10, Pr5.00 - Pr5.02.

2. Connect the command frequency division and multiplication switching input (DIV) of connector X4 to COM-, connect the Panasonic servo motor, set Pr0.09 and 5.00 to the same value, and the frequency division and multiplication switching is invalid.

Maintenance and precautions

In order to ensure the safety of operators and extend the service life of Panasonic servo motors, installation and use must be carried out strictly in accordance with the instructions, and certain maintenance and use precautions must be mastered. If you are not a professional, please do not disassemble the servo motor without authorization, otherwise it is easy to cause permanent failure and damage to the motor. Panasonic servo motor maintenance and precautions?

1. Allowable shaft end load of Panasonic servo motor

1. Using a flexible coupling makes it easy to keep the radial load below the allowable value. It is specially designed for Panasonic servo motors and has high mechanical strength.

2. Be careful when installing rigid couplings, especially as excessive bending loads may damage or wear the shaft ends and bearings.

3. Ensure that radial and axial loads on the loose servo motor shaft are controlled during installation and operation.

2. Loosen the servo motor cable

1. When releasing the servo motor to move, the cable (i.e. the cable configured with the motor) should be firmly fixed to the stationary part (relative to the motor) and extended with an additional cable installed on the cable bracket to reduce bending stress.

2. Ensure that the cable is not subjected to external bending forces or torque or vertical loads of its own weight, especially at the cable outlet or connection.

3. The bending radius of the cable should be as large as possible. During use, if there is noise, overheating, odor, etc., the machine should be stopped immediately and the machine body should be checked. It is best to check the operation of the servo motor regularly and solve the problem in time.

3. Pay attention to the installation of Panasonic servo motor

1. Try to align the shaft end in good condition (bad condition may cause vibration or bearing damage). Although the protection level of Panasonic servo motor is relatively high, it cannot be used in heavy oil and humid places all the time, which will seriously shorten the service life. We once encountered a problem with a customer's motor. Our technical master opened it and it was covered with water stains, causing the motor to burn. Therefore, it must be noted that the servo motor is best operated in a dry, dust-free and oil-free place.

2. When installing/disassembling the coupling components at the shaft end of the Panasonic servo motor, do not hit the shaft end directly with a hammer (if the hammer hits the shaft end directly, the encoder at the other end of the Panasonic servo motor shaft will be damaged).
