1. "Smart Car Future City Carnival" was launched in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, with a collective appearance of autonomous driving vehicles in various scenarios

From October 22 to 23, the 2021 Smart Car Future City Carnival, hosted by Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone and Beijing Association for Science and Technology, was launched at Han's Plaza. Four experience venues were set up for this event (the main venue Han's Plaza, Nanhaizi Park, closed test field, and Mercedes-Benz Park site), where Robotaxi, Robobus, unmanned vending cars, unmanned delivery cars, and terminal unmanned logistics vehicles were unveiled. Unmanned patrol cars mainly have functions such as intelligent patrol, one-button alarm, and monitoring and photography. They can be remotely controlled and support night patrols. They are suitable for park security, traffic control, and large communities. This Future City Carnival event is a display of a series of exploration results of Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone in autonomous driving.

 

2. AutoNavi launches lane-level navigation system that fully applies Beidou satellite navigation system

Recently, AutoNavi Map officially launched the lane-level navigation HD version, committed to elevating the traditional map navigation experience to a new level. In 2020, the Beidou Satellite Navigation System (hereinafter referred to as the Beidou System) was successfully deployed globally. In January 2021, Xiaopeng Motors became the world's first automobile company equipped with AutoNavi lane-level navigation. The two parties have cooperated in depth in technology, and the in-vehicle navigation has also evolved from the original "guiding people" to "co-guiding people and cars", making route planning and guidance more accurate.

 

3. Baidu Apollo Moon Polar Fox Edition was put into operation in Shougang Park, and 100 units will be offline before the end of the year

5. On October 25, Horizon Robotics and SAIC Zero-Beam officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will carry out exchanges and cooperation in vehicle chips and vehicle operating systems around Zero-Beam's "Galaxy Full Stack 3.0" smart car cloud integration solution, and jointly explore a new generation of automotive digital architecture and intelligent driving computing platform solutions.

 

6. On October 25, United Electronics and SAIC Zero-beam Software Branch held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony. The two parties will work together to create a new generation of cross-domain integrated vehicle computing platform and regional controller platform solutions, jointly develop product forms suitable for Zero-beam Galaxy Full Stack 3.0, and promote the development of China's intelligent connected vehicles.

 

7. On October 27, Heizhima Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. and SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will work closely in the areas of automotive-grade autonomous driving computing chips and visual perception algorithms to jointly enhance the commercial value of both parties in their respective fields, achieve complementary advantages, and build a sustainable strategic partnership.

 

8. SAIC Motor's Zerobun Software and Lianchuang Electronics signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with ZTE Corporation, jointly targeting the new development trend of "electric intelligent networking" in the automotive industry, and established joint innovation centers to accelerate independent innovation in technical fields such as automotive operating systems, automotive-grade chips, and 5G-V2X vehicle-to-everything communications, in order to create "software cars" with considerate services for users.

 

9. Recently, at the Huawei Developer Conference, Huawei announced that the first Hongmeng HarmonyOS cockpit car will be released at the end of the year. The new generation of Hongmeng cockpit system integrates Huawei's own applications such as Huaban Map, Changlian, and Huawei Music. Huawei hopes to make the user experience of the smart cockpit the best through the Hongmeng system. 12. On October 31, at the "Smart Geely 2025" conference, Geely Auto announced that Geely Core Technology's self-developed smart cockpit chip SE1000, which uses a 7nm automotive-grade process, will be mass-produced next year after completing automotive-grade certification. This will become China's first 7nm automotive-grade SOC chip. The chip is only 83 square millimeters, but it integrates 87 layers of circuits and 8.8 billion transistors.
