SimpleLink Multi-Standard CC26x2R Wireless MCU LaunchPad Development Kit

LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1

Get started with LaunchPad development:
Step 1: Purchase a CC26X2R1 LaunchPadStep
2: Download the SimpleLink CC13x2 and CC26x2 SDKStep
3: Get started with SimpleLink Academy

Important Notes:

The kit supports evaluation of the SimpleLink low energy Bluetooth CC2642R wireless MCU and the SimpleLink multi-standard CC2652R wireless MCU.

The CC26x2R device is part of the SimpleLink microcontroller (MCU) platform, which includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth low energy, Sub-1 GHz, Thread, Zigbee, 802.15.4, and host MCUs that share a common, easy-to-use development environment with a single-core software development kit (SDK) and a rich tool set. With the one-time integration of the SimpleLink platform, any combination of devices in the portfolio can be added to your design, allowing 100% code reuse as design requirements change. This LaunchPad kit supports programming and debugging through Code Composer Studio and IAR Embedded Workbench integrated development environments (IDEs).

Bluetooth Low Energy

Start your development with the SimpleLink CC26x2R LaunchPad and the SimpleLink CC13x2 and CC26x2 SDK, which includes the Texas Instruments (TI) royalty-free Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) software stack (BLE5-Stack) components to enable development of single-mode Bluetooth 5 applications on the ARM Cortex-M4F-based CC2652R and CC242R. TI supports long range mode, high speed mode, advertising extensions and up to 32 connections.

Thread

Start developing Thread-based applications using the SimpleLink CC13x2 and CC26x2R SDK, which includes tools, application examples, documentation, and source code based on the Thread 1.1 network protocol from openthread, an open source implementation of the Thread network protocol stack. Example applications such as door locks, window shades, thermostats, and temperature sensors based on the Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP) running on the Thread network protocol stack have been released to quickly start software design for your end device set.

Zigbee

The SimpleLink SDK Zigbee protocol stack includes everything you need for a Zigbee-compliant solution, including tools, application examples, documentation, and source code. It also includes a Zigbee protocol stack that complies with the Zigbee Pro standard, as well as support for Green Power (GP) devices and heat sinks. Example applications include door locks, lights, switches, temperature sensors, and thermostats, which are Zigbee certified. The Zigbee protocol stack also supports Zigbee network processor configurations and can be used in two chip structures, where the host is used to implement the group library and Zigbee applications.
