Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX), the global leader in adaptive computing, today announced the appointment of Brice Hill as executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO), effective immediately. Hill will have overall responsibility for Xilinx’s financial management and will contribute his financial expertise and leadership as a key member of the executive management team as the company moves toward an adaptable platform strategy and continues to grow.

Hill, 53, is a senior technology executive with more than 30 years of experience in financial management, mergers and acquisitions, global operations and strategy. Hill joins Xilinx from Intel Corporation, where he spent 25 years, most recently as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Intel's Technology, Systems and Core Engineering Division, responsible for managing all financial aspects of the company's manufacturing, R&D and product engineering operations. Prior to this, Hill was Intel's vice president of strategy and business division finance, including data center, personal computer (PC) and Internet of Things. Hill has also previously held senior financial executive positions in Intel's capacity strategy, PC desktop and chipset, and data center divisions.

"His deep knowledge of the data center, client computing, and IoT industries is a perfect fit with Xilinx's growth strategy in the data center, broad core markets, and adaptive computing. Prior to Intel, Hill held various finance positions at General Motors. He holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the Ross School of Business at Michigan State University and a BA in Finance and Economics from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.
