Experts revealed that the current raw material cost of oxide solid electrolytes is about 100 yuan/kg, and the processing cost is as high as several hundred yuan/kg. It is expected that after 2026, with the maturity of large-scale production and industrial chain, the cost is expected to be close to that of liquid batteries.
At present, the cost of sulfide solid electrolytes is about 10 times that of liquid electrolytes, but sulfide electrolytes perform better in terms of conductivity and interface impedance. In the future, it is expected to reduce costs through industrial chain optimization and become an ideal choice for all-solid-state batteries. At present, domestic solid-state batteries mainly use the lower-cost oxide route, while foreign and some domestic companies such as CATL mainly use the sulfide route.
