We learned from relevant channels that Cipia, an AI computer vision cockpit automotive solution provider, will demonstrate its Cabin Sense solution at the CES 2024, including driver and passenger monitoring functions, and is expected to achieve mass production in 2024.
Cabin Sense is a suite of driver and passenger interior monitoring systems designed to improve driver and passenger safety and the in-cabin experience. Cipia will demonstrate its embedded product code optimized for NVIDIA's DRIVE Orin system-on-chip (SoC), leveraging the powerful computing performance of automotive-grade processors to support cabin sensing functions and provide additional safety and convenience features.
Cipia's Cabin Sense solution is very flexible and can be applied to various automotive-grade computing platforms. It is designed to be integrated in independent ECU (Electronic Control Unit), ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) and IVI (In-vehicle Infotainment System) on the domain controller. NVIDIA DRIVE is the first platform to realize commercial operation of Cabin Sense.
Tal Krzypow, Vice President of Product/Strategy at Cipia, said: “We are excited to bring the latest technology to the cabin sensing market and take driver monitoring to the next level: full cabin monitoring. Combining driver and occupant monitoring on the same SoC and sensors. capabilities, helping to reduce the overall cost of the system and facilitate broader and faster adoption of the solution in the market. Using the proven NVIDIA DRIVE is a natural choice to introduce such capabilities."
