Apple Siri can now control Tesla cars, supporting operations such as closing windows and charging

According to foreign media reports, Tesla owners with iPhones can now use Siri to control their vehicles without having to resort to paid third-party applications such as Tessie.

On August 18, Tesla rolled out the latest update to its iOS mobile app, launching Apple Shortcuts integration to enable the use of Siri for vehicle control and increased automation.

Tesla said in the release notes that vehicle controls can now be accessed through the Apple Shortcuts app: tap or ask Siri to say the name of the automatic operation you want to complete. For example, users can complete the window closing and volume adjustment through Siri voice. , set the air conditioning temperature, open the trunk and other actions.

It's a little more clumsy than actual Siri integration, though, because to trigger the shortcut's automatic actions, users need to set up each command in advance and have to remember and repeat exactly what they named the shortcut. While this operation may seem cumbersome, it may be the best option available to Tesla owners, at least for now.
