According to Memes Consulting, Wuxi Lingsi Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as Lingsi Technology) recently announced that the IMU500 high-precision automotive-grade MEMS inertial measurement unit (IMU) it developed has begun mass production.


With the development of new energy vehicles and autonomous driving , GNSS and IMU have gradually become a necessity. Inertial navigation originated in the military industry and has been used for a long time in the fields of national defense and commercial aerospace. It has the advantages of autonomous navigation, no external dependence, and high output frequency (greater than 100Hz). Positioning accuracy depends on the measurement accuracy of inertial sensors such as gyroscopes and accelerometers . However, traditional high-precision inertial navigation module devices are generally expensive and have different technical routes from those required for civilian vehicles. MEMS inertial navigation has the characteristics of low price, low power consumption, small size, high reliability and strong environmental adaptability, etc., which promotes the development of inertial navigation in the civilian field.

"IMU500" is a 6-degree-of-freedom high-performance automotive-grade MEMS inertial measurement unit that is small in size, light in weight, and uses an ultra-durable and compact aluminum alloy housing. It undergoes complete temperature compensation and accuracy calibration before leaving the factory, providing customers with a cost-effective solution.

- Measuring range: Gyro ±300°/s,  Accelerometer ± 6g
