HARTING sets up new production line in Silao, Mexico

Produce electric vehicle solutions that meet regional customer needs


Espelkamp/Silau, May 3, 2023 – The Harting automotive division is expanding its production capacities: In addition to production sites in Germany and Romania, manufacturing operations are also underway in Silao, Mexico . The electric vehicle solutions launched by Espelkamp Headquarters Technology Group will be implemented in Silao in order to more conveniently provide customers in Central and North America with HARTING's consistent high-quality services.


“Harting’s location in Silao was the right choice to add a new production line in the field of electromobility,” emphasizes Marco Grinblats, Managing Director of Harting Automotive . “It shows how we meet the specific requirements of our customers in this region – especially While helping to shorten delivery times and logistics routes, it is also more sustainable.”


It was not until November last year that the company moved into its new location in the production and office area. Since the factory opened in 2016, the total area has increased nearly fourfold. Many customers from the automotive industry were invited to attend the inauguration ceremony of Harting's new production line.
