March 2, 2023, Jerusalem - Recently, Mobileye was simultaneously rated as a leader in the development of autonomous vehicle technology by two well-known research institutions, Guidehouse Insights and ABI research. When evaluating several major technology companies in the field of autonomous driving, both the Guidehouse Insights autonomous driving system rankings and the first autonomous vehicle platform report released by ABI Research believe that Mobileye deserves to be awarded the highest score.
Mobileye topped both rankings. These two rankings conduct quantitative and qualitative evaluations of multiple autonomous driving companies based on a wide range of indicators such as technology, innovation, strategy, implementation, and customers. Compared with the last list released by Guidehouse in 2021, Mobileye's ranking has improved by 6 positions. This result reflects the significant progress Mobileye has made in recent years in its efforts to realize its autonomous driving vision.
The two rankings each include four leading autonomous driving companies, and Mobileye is the only company on the list at the same time.
Professor Amnon Shashua, President and CEO of Mobileye, said: "We are grateful to two well-known industry analyst companies for recognizing Mobileye's technology leadership. This achievement is due to the thousands of people who work hard every day to realize the future of autonomous driving. Mobileye employees with a vision. Such achievements and recognition also remind us that the industry we are in is still developing rapidly, and we must not rest on our laurels and take today's success for granted."
As the research and development of autonomous driving technology has become more mature in recent years, both research institutions emphasized that having a viable business model is crucial for the deployment of autonomous driving in the future. Both reports pointed out that Mobileye has established a leadership position in the vision-based ADAS market and achieved long-term excellence, providing strong support for autonomous driving technology to empower consumption and travel and service markets.
Both reports also mentioned another key advantage of Mobileye - scalable and deployable autonomous driving technology, which includes the dual-eye gaze/hands-free Mobileye SuperVision™ autonomous driving system and Mobileye Drive™ autonomous driving that have already been put into production. Taxi solutions and Mobileye Chaffeur™ consumer autonomous vehicle products. The foundation of all this is built on Mobileye’s camera-based driver assistance system safety products over the past 20 years. Currently, more than 135 million cars worldwide are equipped with Mobileye’s driver assistance systems.
