Recently, Dr. Wang Weibao, the head of Jidu Intelligent Driving, announced that the Jidu Intelligent Driving team has started a third city scenario generalization test in Guangzhou, marking the next step in Jidu’s high-end intelligent driving scenario generalization test after Beijing and Shanghai.
The leading intelligent Jidu car robot is equipped with point-to-point navigation assistance PPA
On December 30, Jidu’s first automotive robot ROBO-01 was officially unveiled at the Guangzhou Auto Show, and its appearance was exposed for the first time. At the same time, Jidu's second automotive robot intelligent pure electric coupe ROBO-02 also revealed the appearance design for the first time in the form of a show car. These two car robots combine ultimate design, advanced technology and intelligent experience, perfectly interpreting the aesthetic design language of Jidu robots. Jidu insists on highly integrated and intelligent design to create a highly attractive, simple, efficient and passionate technology product experience for users.
As a leading intelligent mid-to-large SUV, ROBO-01 will be equipped with the core function of a high-end intelligent driving system - Point to Point Autopilot (PPA). When Jidu ROBO-01 is delivered, the coverage of available scenarios of PPA will reach the leading level in China.
The research and development of Jidu high-end intelligent driving is progressing smoothly, and the third city scenario generalization test has been launched in Guangzhou.
Wang Weibao said that Jidu’s full-stack application of Baidu Apollo’s full set of high-end autonomous driving capabilities and safety systems, and based on users’ high-end intelligent driving needs in more scenarios, the two parties have jointly re-integrated and developed and verified Apollo’s capabilities to enable user use. High-end intelligent driving experience in car scenes. Jidu has taken the lead in applying Baidu's ANP3.0 capabilities. On this basis, the two parties jointly developed Jidu's high-end intelligent driving system. ROBO-01 and ROBO-02 will bring users a high-end intelligent driving experience in multiple scenarios.
Wang Weibao introduced that since October this year, Jidu has carried out intelligent driving integration tests in urban areas and high-speed areas in Beijing and Shanghai, and is in the stage of generalization in multi-city scenarios. Recently, Jidu has launched smart driving tests in Guangzhou, starting the generalization of the third city scenario. The test video shows that the vehicle already has functions such as avoiding lanes in Guangzhou city, changing lanes when merging with large traffic flows, and passing roundabouts. As the launch time of Jidu ROBO-01 approaches, the development of intelligent driving is proceeding in an orderly manner to ensure that relevant functions are "ready to use".
