Recently, there were reports that some of the 2023 FAW-Volkswagen Audi's mainstream models may purchase BYD's DM-i/DM-p for matching. There is also news that the first model to be equipped with it may be the Audi A4L.

On November 3, in response to online rumors that FAW Audi may use BYD's hybrid system, BYD responded to the media and said, "This online rumor is false."

According to previous reports, BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu recently led a team of technical engineers from Fudi Power to visit the R&D centers of FAW Hongqi and FAW-Volkswagen for research. Both parties jointly witnessed the results of the adaptation of the blade battery and DM-i power system.

Earlier, the power battery project jointly owned by FAW and BYD has officially started construction in Changchun City, Jilin Province. The total investment in the project is as high as 13.5 billion yuan, and the total project production capacity is as high as 45GWh, which can meet the supporting needs of 1 million electric vehicles. Moreover, FAW Hongqi E-QM5 is already equipped with BYD blade batteries.

In addition, in fact, BYD has opened up new energy technologies to the outside world many times. Previously, BYD had released its DM-i super hybrid system to Skyworth and Dongfeng Xiaokang.

Even Toyota has taken a fancy to BYD's blade batteries and motors. FAW Toyota's new pure electric sedan bZ3 uses almost all of BYD's power technology.
