Shanghai, China – September 29, 2022 – BlackBerry and Shanghai Dayin Information Technology Co., Ltd. today announced that Dayin Technology’s “Sound” 2.0 application, powered by BlackBerry® QNX® acoustic technology, has been deployed in the smart cockpit systems of the Mocha, Latte and Macchiato series of vehicles under Wei, a high-end brand under Great Wall Motors.
DaYin Technology's "Sound" 2.0 application provides an intuitive and immersive acoustic experience for drivers and passengers. It is based on BlackBerry QNX® Active Acoustic Design (ASD) technology and is currently installed in Jiayu Intelligent (a subsidiary of Great Wall Motors) MoLife 1.0 smart cockpit, which has been put into mass production in China's leading automobile brand, Great Wall Motors.
Based on BlackBerry QNX's industry-leading software-defined sound architecture (SDAA), the MoLife 1.0 smart cockpit provides a variety of unique acoustic application product functions, including low-speed driving sound alarm outside the car, engine sound enhancement inside and outside the car, and dynamic prompt sounds, so as to manage the overall acoustic experience inside and outside the car. BlackBerry QNX ASD includes a complete set of software components that can help DaYin Technology reduce unnecessary cabin noise, enhance new engine sounds, and automatically project sounds to pedestrians to improve driving safety.
Li Haichao, Vice President of R&D at Jiayu Intelligent, emphasized: "After years of development, Jiayu Intelligent has formed a full set of data-driven product design and development systems to better help automakers provide customers with first-class automotive acoustic experience, which is inseparable from the cooperation between Dayin Technology and BlackBerry. Drivers can feel Jiayu Intelligent's high-quality sound products and personalized sound solutions the moment they enter the car. We are very happy to see the key role the company plays in enhancing users' acoustic interaction experience inside and outside the car."
Dhiraj Handa, Vice President of BlackBerry Technology Solutions (BTS) Asia Pacific, said: "BlackBerry has a fully integrated software architecture to manage vehicle acoustics and meet the requirements of advanced system design. We are pleased to work with Dayin Technology to develop advanced vehicle acoustic system solutions, which have been applied to Jiayu Intelligent's smart cockpit system, which has been deployed in Great Wall Motor's best-selling high-end models. We look forward to empowering China's growing automotive industry through our successful cooperation."
Yao Jie, Director of Shanghai Dayin Information Technology Co., Ltd., said: "Since 2019, Dayin Technology and BlackBerry have been actively cooperating and maintaining a successful and efficient partnership, and have further promoted the development of the automotive cockpit field through advanced products.
