Guoxuan High-tech (002074.SZ) also announced important news.
This year, we will mass produce ternary semi-solid-state batteries
On September 14, Guoxuan High-tech stated on the investor interaction platform that the company's battery technology level is leading the industry and its product strength is constantly improving:
In terms of lithium iron phosphate , the company has the mass production capacity of 210Wh/kg energy density battery cells, the design of 230Wh/kg energy density battery cells has been finalized, and the system energy density has reached 160Wh/kg, which is at the international leading level.
In terms of ternary batteries, mass production and installation of 302Wh/kg energy density battery cells have been achieved, and the system energy density has exceeded 200Wh/kg.
The 360Wh/kg ternary semi-solid battery has passed the most stringent puncture test. The battery pack has an energy density of 260Wh/kg and a range of 1000KM. It is expected to be mass-produced this year.
In addition, the company has established eight R&D centers around the world to drive Guoxuan's continued leadership in battery R&D and innovation.
With the improvement of product strength, the company focuses on key strategic customers, implements hierarchical management of customers, continuously optimizes the customer structure, strives to conquer new car-making forces and international high-end customers, cultivates new market growth points, increases market share in the mid-to-high-end market, and accelerates the company's internationalization process.

When an investor asked which automakers the semi-solid batteries were supplied to, Guoxuan High-tech said, "For specific progress, please continue to pay attention to the company's public disclosures."
Statistics show that in terms of the scale of passenger car customers, in the first half of 2022, Guoxuan High-tech had a total of 22 customers, including traditional car companies and new car-making forces such as Geely, Changan, Great Wall, Chery, Leapmotor, and WM Motor, ranking second in terms of the number of customers.
Specifically, the top 10 battery companies supplying passenger cars in the first half of 2022 are: CATL, Gotion High-tech, China Innovation Aviation, Farasis Energy, Ruipu Lanjun, Honeycomb Energy, EVE Energy , BYD, Xinwangda , and LG Energy Solution.

Guoxuan High-tech also stated that the company has established good strategic cooperation relationships with overseas customers, including Volkswagen, TATA, and a US automaker. "The company will continue to promote its globalization strategy, focusing on complete vehicles, and continuously optimize its customer structure based on existing customers. It will continue to improve its product strength, conquer the B-class car market, and continuously increase its share of the mid-to-high-end market."
The 20,000-ton lithium carbonate production line has been put into production
Gotion High-tech has made in-depth layout in the field of lithium battery materials and has currently formed five major material bases, which are located in Lujiang, Anhui, Feidong, Anhui, Yichun, Jiangxi, Wuhai, Inner Mongolia and Jujuy Province, Argentina (under construction).
Among them, the Lujiang base focuses on the development and production of lithium iron phosphate and ternary positive electrode materials. The materials of the Feidong base mainly cover the front-end raw materials of the battery and the back-end recycling and cascade utilization. Wuhai has planned lithium-ion battery negative electrode material projects, and Yichun and Argentina have planned front-end mineral and lithium carbonate projects.
On the evening of May 9, Guoxuan High-tech issued an announcement stating that it had signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with the Argentine mining investment company JEMSE. The two parties reached a consensus on strategic cooperation in lithium mining in Jujuy Province, Argentina . The company will start with the purchase of mineral resources such as lithium carbonate and gradually promote the company's products and projects to settle in Argentina.
In addition, Guoxuan High-tech revealed in a recent investor survey that the company's Guoxuan Kefeng in Yichun Economic Development Zone, Jiangxi Province, produces 20,000 tons of lithium carbonate annually, and the lithium carbonate projects invested and constructed in Yifeng and Fengxin each produce 50,000 tons annually, and it is expected to achieve a total annual output of 120,000 tons of lithium carbonate by 2025. At present, the production capacity of lithium carbonate is gradually being released, and it is expected that the output of lithium carbonate will be about 8,000 tons in 2022, and full production of lithium carbonate will be achieved in 2025.
The latest interactive Q&A shows that Guoxuan Kefeng’s new production line was put into production in early September, and its production capacity is currently increasing; Yifeng’s lithium carbonate production line will also be put into production at the beginning of next year.

Regarding the procurement of mica raw materials, Guoxuan High-tech stated that the company has a lithium mine in Yichun, Jiangxi Province, with abundant lithium reserves that can meet the company's lithium carbonate production needs.
Energy storage customers include Huawei
Expanding energy storage has always been one of Guoxuan High-tech's important strategies. According to Guoxuan High-tech, its energy storage business has developed rapidly, and its customers include Huawei, Anhui Energy Group, State Grid, and China Power Investment Corporation.
Guoxuan High-tech's energy storage products and systems have been successfully applied in important global energy storage markets such as China, the United States, and Japan.
In terms of energy storage projects that have been implemented and won bids, there are the Huaibei Wanneng Energy Storage Power Station Phase I 103MW/206MWh project, the State Grid Multifunctional Mobile Energy Storage Charging Vehicle Project, and the Huaneng Mengcheng Wind Power 40MW/40MWh Energy Storage Project.
Guoxuan High-tech also supplies energy storage batteries for 72MW/72MWh energy storage and frequency regulation projects in West Virginia and Illinois, USA.
In addition, Guoxuan High-tech's negative electrode material graphitization project with an annual output of 400,000 tons in Wuhai, Inner Mongolia, plans to be fully powered by solar energy. It is expected to be equipped with 2GWh photovoltaic power generation and 1GWh energy storage power stations to create a zero-carbon base for new energy vehicle materials.
Guoxuan High-tech revealed: "In the first half of the year, the company established a strategic partnership with a leading photovoltaic company. The company will continue to deepen cooperation in the fields of energy storage and new energy, opening up new space and growth points for the company's energy storage business expansion. Due to confidentiality reasons from the customer, it is not convenient to disclose the details for the time being."

Regarding whether it provides JinkoSolar with energy storage cells, Guoxuan High-Tech said: "JinkoSolar is the company's strategic partner and important customer. The company and JinkoSolar have carried out strategic cooperation in the fields of 'photovoltaic + energy storage' product research and development and production, distributed photovoltaic storage system development and sales, one-stop comprehensive solutions, photovoltaic storage charging equipment, photovoltaic storage county promotion, and household energy storage products."
