Description of the program:
Atmel 's ATA6870 is a lithium-ion and NiMH battery pack measurement and monitoring circuit, mainly used in hybrid vehicles. ATA6870 can manage up to 16 circuits, 96 batteries (three to six battery packs), provide charging balancing capabilities for each battery, and integrate linear regulators to power MCU or external components. The evaluation board system block diagram with ATA6870 as the core is shown in the figure.
