According to foreign media reports, Fisker, a supplier of electric vehicles and advanced mobility solutions, showcased its Ocean pure electric SUV at CES 2022, highlighting its advanced advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) and launching the world's first digital radar. The ADAS platform Fisker Intelligent Pilot integrates four sensors: the industry-leading surround view camera kit, camera-based driver monitoring system, ultrasonic technology, and the digital imaging radar system Fisker Ocean, which is expected to be produced and launched in November 2022.

“Our asset-light, rapid product development business model allows us to bring these advanced active safety systems to market quickly,” said Henrik Fisker, CEO of Fisker. “Fisker Intelligent Pilot and Fisker Digital-Imaging combine a proven ADAS camera with first-to-market 4D digital radar to provide industry-leading safety to owners of the Fisker Ocean Sport, the top-of-the-line Fisker Ocean Extreme and the Fisker Ocean One.”
Fisker's industry-first, digital code modulation-based radar system confirms and enhances what the camera sees, using five units positioned around the Fisker Ocean. The system also provides additional perception in conditions of inclement weather and excessive sun glare, outperforming analog radar systems. For example, the Fisker digital radar can locate vehicles at 200 meters and pedestrians at 80 meters.
The system can also better distinguish surroundings in high light-dark contrast environments, such as tunnels and bridges, and distinguish between objects of different sizes and speeds on highways, such as cars, trucks and motorcycles. In addition, the Fisker digital radar can separate objects from the background and detect low-lying road obstacles.
Combined with its capabilities, Fisker Intelligent Pilot's perception stack with camera and radar sensor fusion enables better decision making on highways, in city traffic and in inclement weather.
To ensure the driver is paying attention when the system is activated, Fisker Intelligent Pilot uses an interior camera mounted on the A-pillar to monitor for drowsiness and concentration.
Fisker Intelligent Pilot is standard on the Fisker Ocean Extreme and Fisker Ocean One, and the system includes: 3D 360° Surround View; Door Opening Warning; Park My Car, an automatic parking space finder; Park Assist with Wheel Guard, a parallel parking assist; Adaptive Drive Control; Advanced Automatic Emergency Braking; Reverse Collision Mitigation; Evasive Steering Assist; Integrated Drive Assist; Traffic Jam Assist (with Integrated Drive Assist); Driver Drowsiness and Attention Warning; Traffic Sign/Light Recognition Front and Side Collision Warning; Lane Change Assist; Lane Keeping Assist; Intelligent Speed Assist; Emergency Lane Departure Avoidance; Blind Spot Monitoring.
