Vishay launches new IHSR high-temperature inductors to meet AEC-Q200

According to foreign media reports, Vishay Intertechnology announced the launch of the new AEC-Q200 IHSR high-temperature inductor Vishay Dale IHSR-2525CZ-5A, with a case size of 7.4mm x 6.6mm x 3mm. The sensor is designed for multi-phase, high-current power supplies and filters under the hood of automobiles and in ADAS applications. Compared with traditional power inductors, its DCR is reduced by 50%, and compared with ferrite solutions, its inductance and saturation have excellent temperature stability.

The inductor is optimized for energy storage in 10MHz DC-DC converters and high current filtering applications up to the inductor SRF (self-resonant frequency). The device operates at +15°C and is suitable for DC-DC conversion in engine and transmission control unit filtering, ADAS microprocessors and entertainment/navigation systems, as well as noise suppression in motors, windshield wipers, electric mirrors and seats, and heating and ventilation blowers.


The sensor has a typical DCR value of 0.38mOhm and an inductance of 0.056µH, providing higher current density and a thickness of only 3mm, making the end product thinner. In addition, the inductor is packaged in a 100% lead (Pb)-free shielded composite structure to reduce buzzing noise to ultra-low levels, provide high resistance to moisture, thermal shock and mechanical shock, and handle high transient current spikes without saturation.
