On November 8, Uopa Technology, a new smart electric vehicle company, released a video on its video account called "the first autonomous driving tracking debugging", indicating that the "UP super chassis" it developed has completed the creation of the first prototype and entered the dynamic debugging stage. It can drive autonomously according to the planned path and has initially acquired the ability to support high-level autonomous driving.

From the dynamic video released by Yopao Technology, it can be seen that the "UP Super Chassis" successfully completed high-level autonomous driving functions such as front and rear acceleration and deceleration, braking, gear switching, left and right steering, parking and power on and off. While continuously debugging and optimizing positioning, autonomous driving control and other capabilities, the "UP Super Chassis" has the ability to integrate traditional body structures, arranging components such as batteries, electric drive systems, suspensions, and brakes in a chassis similar to a "skateboard". At the same time, through the upper and lower split development of the whole vehicle, the body functions are decoupled, becoming the most "software-friendly" intelligent electric vehicle technology base for car manufacturers in all scenarios.

It is reported that last month, Yopao Technology completed the Pre-A+ round of financing led by Bosch's Boyuan Capital. Its innovation lies in upgrading the traditional "integrated development of the whole vehicle" to "upper and lower split development", redefining the top-level logic, technical form and supply chain of automobile research and development. The "UP Super Chassis" developed by it has the capabilities of hardware standardization and software platformization, which can greatly improve the convenience of research and development and manufacturing, shorten the vehicle development cycle, and reduce manufacturing costs. It is estimated that the application of the "UP Super Chassis" can shorten the vehicle development cycle by 50% and reduce the research and development cost by up to 60%.

With the advent of the era of smart electric vehicles 2.0, the standardization of automotive hardware and the platformization of software have been continuously improved, and the independent car manufacturing model with chassis and body decoupled has become possible. The "super chassis" is an upgrade based on the skateboard chassis. Several overseas start-ups have entered the skateboard chassis smart car track and released related products. Among them, a player who claims to be a strong rival of Tesla will be listed in the US market this week, further driving the continued heating up of this track worldwide.
