On November 3, the "2020 Hard-Core China Chip Leadership Summit and Selection and Awards Ceremony" was held in Shenzhen, and the results of the 4-month "2020 Hard-Core China Chip" selection were grandly announced.


BYD Semiconductor Co., Ltd. won the "Most Influential IC Design Company of 2020" award. At the same time, the country's first highly integrated, three-in-one master MCU  (BF5823AM48) product also won the "Best Domestic MCU Product Award of 2020" with its advantages of integration, high efficiency, and low power consumption.


Nearly 150 semiconductor companies actively participated in the "2020 Hard-Core China Chip" selection activity. During the selection period, a total of 400,000 electronic engineers and nearly 40 industry expert judges participated in the scoring to select the most representative Chinese chip companies and products in 2020.

The award-winning MCU product BF5823AM48 is the first lock control MCU in China that integrates touch button detection and RFID smart card detection. It has a built-in high-speed 8051 core, 1T instruction cycle, and faster running speed. It includes a variety of rich peripheral resources such as serial port, S PI , IIC, ADC detection, low voltage detection, etc. At the same time, it integrates SM4 national secret algorithm and OTA upgrade, making the application more flexible and rich.

This product has overturned the design of the traditional smart lock motherboard. It can realize card unlocking and password unlocking without adding a separate touch chip and card swiping chip , effectively reducing the BOM cost of the lock board solution. Equipped with complete hardware design references and software SDK, it improves the efficiency of lock board solution development, shortens the development cycle, and makes the entire smart lock development more efficient and faster.


In the era of rapid development of electronic intelligence, this product will undoubtedly bring new changes to the smart lock industry in terms of hardware design and software debugging.


BYD Semiconductor entered the industrial MCU field as early as 2007, and has shipped more than 2 billion units in total. BYD Semiconductor insists on the dual route of performance and reliability, and now has dual-core touch MCU, EMC enhanced touch MCU, industrial three-in-one MCU and battery management MCU. It integrates multiple communication modules such as CAN , LIN, UART , multi-channel counters, timers and PWM functions, and includes high-precision ADC, storage support EEP ROM real-time data storage and other general-purpose module peripherals, meeting the AECQ100 GRADE1 quality level requirements.


This MCU is suitable for automotive electronic control applications such as windows, seats, wipers, lights, etc. At present, the product has been applied to BYD Auto's "Han" model headlights, taillights, wireless charging control, etc. The product is produced in accordance with the automotive grade requirements of the entire industry chain, with a defective rate of 0ppm.


Domestic chips debut at the "Hard-core China Chip Technology Park"  


The Munich South China Electronics Show has created a "Hard-core Chinese Chip Technology Park". As an excellent Chinese chip company, BYD Semiconductor has brought cutting-edge technologies and star products such as power semiconductors, intelligent control ICs, smart sensors , and optoelectronic semiconductors to the technology park.

BYD Semiconductor takes IGBT and SiC as its core to achieve full industry chain integration. Automotive-grade IGBT breaks the monopoly of foreign technology, and IGBT4.0 chips become a new benchmark for domestic mid-to-high-end IGBT power chips. BYD's new flagship model "Han" is the first model in China to be equipped with independently developed SiC power modules in batches.


The only domestic automotive-grade 1200V IPM on display this time has an output power of up to 7500W and is compatible with the VER 4 series packaging. It has been widely used in the fields of new energy vehicles and home appliances, and is particularly suitable for new energy vehicle air-conditioning controllers, variable-frequency home appliances (commercial air-conditioning, central air-conditioning, medium and large-power cabinets), medium and large-power industrial variable-frequency controllers and other products.


BYD Semiconductor started developing battery protection IC products as early as 2002, and its products are widely used by major international and domestic brand manufacturers. The battery protection IC has a full range of products, covering 1-10 string applications, with monthly shipments exceeding 20KK, and ranks among the top brand manufacturers in the field of smart wearables.


The multi-cell battery protection IC BM3451, which was highlighted in this exhibition, has won the "China Core Excellent Market Performance Product" award. This product is a 3/4/5-cell lithium/iron battery protection IC with high precision and high integration. It is particularly suitable for electric bicycles, power tools, backup power supplies and other fields. It has been supplied in large quantities to well-known domestic and foreign manufacturers such as Xiaomi, Ecovacs, and Lake.


In addition, BYD Semiconductor's latest new generation of ultra-small package, high-voltage single-cell protection IC BM188 has also been recognized by customers. This product adopts a new frame design and customized MOSFET development, integrating protection IC and MOSFET, while meeting the requirements of ultra-small size and lower internal resistance. It can provide batteries with over-charging, over-discharging, discharge over-current, short - circuit and other protection functions, and has the characteristics of high precision, high voltage resistance, and small temperature drift.

Also on display at the booth was BYD Semiconductor's overall fingerprint recognition solution. Since the release of its first fingerprint recognition chip in 2015, BYD Semiconductor has continued to innovate and upgrade its product technology. It now not only has the industry's most comprehensive fingerprint sensors, but is also the industry's first overall embedded fingerprint solution supplier (lock control three-in-one, DSP + fingerprint algorithm + sensor, etc.).


BYD Semiconductor also displayed a number of independently developed in-vehicle application products, DMS system applications, in-vehicle air purifiers, streaming media rearview mirrors, LED lamp beads, etc.
