The competition will run from May to November, soliciting works from undergraduate, master and doctoral students in universities across the country, encouraging students from departments such as automobiles, electronics, automation and industrial design to participate, and encouraging cross-disciplinary teams. All entries can be submitted through the official website of the competition, and the works can be in the form of design drawings or creative animations, accompanied by relevant explanatory texts, etc.
The competition judging committee is composed of senior experts and elites from government agencies, industries, universities and leading enterprises. The judging committee will consider the degree of completion, innovation, practicality and other aspects to select the works for the finals. The final will be held at the "2019 Intelligent Connected Vehicle Technology Conference" in November, and ten gold, silver and bronze winning works will be selected, and prize money, certificates and trophies will be awarded. All winners or teams will have the opportunity to intern in well-known automotive electronics companies and participate in the actual modification process of the designed works. At the same time, the gold medal winner or team will also have the opportunity to visit and study abroad.
Cypress will prepare a Hongqi CA770 sedan manufactured in 1979 as a reference model for design and modification. Hongqi is a pioneer in China's automobile industry and a model of independent innovation. It is hoped that the "Made in China" spirit represented by Hongqi can inspire participating students to fully unleash their innovation potential.
About the Automotive Electronics Industry Alliance
The Automotive Electronics Alliance was formally established in April 2018. The establishment of the alliance aims to create an open, harmonious and healthy new ecological system for the intelligent development of automotive electronics, and at the same time promote the rapid development of the industry by actively promoting collaborative exchanges, cooperation and information sharing among alliance member companies. Since its establishment, the alliance has attracted more than 300 well-known enterprises and institutions covering the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, including chips and sensors, system integration, vehicle manufacturing, electronic components, new energy, communications, algorithms and artificial intelligence, and finance. The Automotive Electronics Industry Alliance will lead the alliance members to strengthen communication, focus on key issues, and promote the research of new automotive electronic intelligent architectures and intelligent computing platforms. It will play an important role in building an open and cooperative new ecological system for automotive electronics intelligence, and contribute to the rapid and healthy development of my country's automotive electronics industry.
