On September 18, 2014, WPG Holdings, a leading electronic component distributor dedicated to the Asia-Pacific market, announced that its subsidiary Fuwei launched a high-end 1080P high-end dashcam solution based on Aptina's AR0330CS. This device is an image sensor specially launched by Aptina to meet the needs of the Chinese market. It adopts a 2.2-micron pixel design and integrates Aptina A-Pix technology to provide excellent low-light performance. The AR0330CS sensor supports parallel interface options and 2-channel MIPI output, and supports a new 1/3-inch native full HD (HD) 1080p@30fps with electronic image stabilization (EIS) function .
Aptina, represented by Fuwei under WPG, has been leading the technology development trend in the image sensor industry and providing key technology support in imaging for customers all over the world. This AR0330CS, customized for China, provides customers with a lot of room to reduce costs while ensuring image performance. The outstanding advantage of AR0330CS is its excellent image performance in low-light environments. At 20lux, compared with competitors and previous products, AR0330CS has better performance and clearer picture display. And because AR0330CS reads signals faster, compared with A5100, which is also 1080p30, the image has a smaller ERS slope and more realistic image display. In addition, AR0330CS, promoted by Fuwei under WPG, captures full HD video at 30fps. Compared with the previous AR0330, it reduces a lot of pressure on the DSP processor in the system, and the power consumption can be reduced from 450mW of AR0330 to 300mW. This product is ideal for dash cams, pocket digital video recorders, camcorders, networking, sports, video conferencing and other camera applications.
