A practical high-precision sawtooth generator is shown in Figure 5.3-40.

Figure 5.3-40A is a high-precision sawtooth generator circuit similar to the high-precision triangle wave generator circuit Figure (see this site High-precision triangle wave generator ) . The difference between the two is only that the input circuit of A1 is different. The integrator input circuit of Figure 5.3-40A has two paths. The forward integration is realized by R1, and the reverse integration is realized by the path in which RA and diode VD1 are connected in series and then connected in parallel with R1. Resistor RA < R1, the sawtooth wave shown. When R2 = R3, and RV1 forward conduction resistance is set to 0, the oscillation period is determined by the following formula

When R1 and RA are changed, the positive and return time of the sawtooth wave can be changed, that is, its peak time TO can be changed. R4R5 is used to adjust the positive and negative levels of the output voltage of A3.
