MILPITAS, California, USA --- April 28, 2011 — Intersil Corporation today announced the launch of the ISL28208, a new member of its industry-leading high-precision operational amplifier product family. This is a high-precision, negative voltage signal input, rail-to-rail output, and 3V-40V single-supply dual-channel operational amplifier, providing an unparalleled solution for industrial control applications.
The ISL28208 has excellent design flexibility. It supports signal inputs below 0.5V of the negative power supply and rail-to-rail outputs. Its input stage can adapt to continuous input overload. The device combines high precision, power saving, low power consumption, wide voltage range and reliability to adapt to the most demanding applications. Its low offset voltage (up to 230μV), low temperature drift (0.1μV/°C), 123dB common mode rejection ratio and 128dB power supply rejection ratio can ensure the high precision requirements of high-end instrument applications. In addition, under the working condition of 12V power supply, the power consumption of ISL28208 is only 2mW per channel.
The ISL28208 is manufactured using Intersil's proprietary precision SOI transistor process technology, which completely eliminates latch-up. The 3KV human body model ESD rating and 300V machine model ESD rating can increase system reliability in harsh industrial application environments. As the latest member of the industry-leading Intersil PR40 process operational amplifier series, the ISL28208 has the same 40V wide voltage range as the previously released ISL28218, but with lower power consumption. In short, Intersil's 40V operational amplifier series has the industry's best precision, low noise and power consumption characteristics.
