Measurement method of phase-locked loop tracking characteristics: The tracking characteristics of the phase-locked loop can be measured. The tracking filter composed of CMOS integrated phase-locked loop 5G4046 is shown in Figure 6-2 (a). When the power supply voltage is 10V and the center frequency fo=100kHz, the result directly measured by X-Y recorder is shown in Figure 6-2 (b).
When the input frequency decreases, the solid line in the figure is obtained. The loop is captured at fi=f3=1208kHz and loses lock at fi=f1=41kHz.
