CCD (Charge-Coupled Device) is an important component that can be used in stereo cameras. It is a photosensitive semiconductor device whose photosensitive units convert the received light into electric charge, and the amount of charge is proportional to the intensity of the incident light. In this way, the area array CCD composed of the photosensitive units arranged in a matrix can sense images. CCD is now widely used in digital cameras and digital video cameras. CCD stereo cameras are also used in astronomical telescopes, scanners and barcode readers.
