A diode is also called a crystal diode, or diode for short; it is an electronic component that transmits current in only one direction. It is a device with two terminals connected by a part number, and has the property of making current flow or not flow according to the direction of the applied voltage. A crystal diode is a pn junction formed by a p-type semiconductor and an n-type semiconductor, with space charge layers formed on both sides of its interface and a self-built electric field. When there is no external voltage, the diffusion current caused by the difference in carrier concentration on both sides of the pn junction and the drift current caused by the self-built electric field are equal and are in an electrical equilibrium state.

How does a multimeter measure a diode?
  1. Characteristics of diodes The English word for diode is diode. The diode has two terminals, positive and negative. (As shown in Figure 1), the positive terminal A is called the anode and the negative terminal B is called the cathode. Current can only move from the anode to the cathode. 2. How to use a multi

Bidirectional Minimum Zener Diode Overview
Zener diodes are voltage-stabilizing diodes. They are semiconductor devices that have a high resistance until the critical reverse breakdown voltage. When the critical breakdown point is reached, the reverse resistance decreases to a very small value. Renesas Technology Corporation has introduced two new Zener diodes,

Main types of power diodes
1. General Purpose Diode, also known as Rectifier Diode, is mostly used in rectifier circuits with low switching frequency (below 1kHz). Its reverse recovery time is relatively long, generally above 5s, which is not important when the switching frequency is not high. The forward current rating and reverse
