Buffers are divided into input buffers and output buffers. The former is used to temporarily store data sent by peripherals so that the processor can take it away; the latter is used to temporarily store data sent by the processor to peripherals. With a CNC buffer, the high-speed CPU and the slow-speed peripherals can be coordinated and buffered to achieve synchronization of data transmission. Since the buffer is connected to the data bus, it must have a three-state output function.
